A Denison legend reborn

About Us

Originally built in the golden age of theater, the Rialto has stood as a cultural anchor in Denison for over a century. We have preserved its historic brickwork and soaring ceilings, retrofitting the space with modern high-fidelity sound.

The Rialto Theatre enjoys the distinction of feeling both grand and intimate. Owners Tim Dighton and Misty Chapman have carefully restored the space, honoring the distinct eras it's lived through. The result feels sophisticated and upscale — the kind of place you'd expect to see in an old Hollywood film. The gold framing and wrought iron gates are the only original materials remaining from the 1920 build.

On the second floor, the Velvet Lounge is a step back in time. Lush velvet drapes, chandeliers, private sitting areas, and prohibition-era prints come together to create a speakeasy-style hideaway.

Finally, The Rusty Chicken Saloon has found its home on the Rialto Theatre's balcony — the ideal spot for the fun, loud crowd catching a concert or show. Step inside and you'll feel like you've walked into an Old West saloon, with a touch of sophistication. 1800s-style bar fixtures, whiskey barrels, and historic photographs fill the space, ready for the next outlaw to walk through the doors.
